La Table du Rouan, named after an old neighbourhood in Gérardmer where there was a large watermill, invites you to set out on a gourmet adventure among sun-drenched surroundings!

Half way between the lake and the bustling town centre, our easy-to-access restaurant overlooking the garden is open at lunch and dinner for a gourmet treat. Chef Julien Jeanselme serves a contemporary, personal and playful cuisine, where local specialities meet flavours from further afield, and combine delicately to the delight of diners. For your starter, why not try the mountain terrine served as an homage to Ernest Jeanselme, Julien’s great-grandfather and a famous chef who received a Michelin star in 1936.

Chef Julien Jeanselme cooks up a storm!

Before returning to Gérardmer and taking over the restaurant, Julien Jeanselme travelled far and wide. He trained at prestigious Swiss restaurants (le Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne - 2 Michelin stars, Le Montpelier in Verbier) and French restaurants (La Bérangère in Les 2 Alpes, Georges Blanc in Vonnas - 3 Michelin stars).

Jean Jeanselme, who represents the 5th generation of chef-hoteliers at La Jamagne, is part of the oldest hotel family in Gérardmer.

Les Grandes Gueules Bar

A warm welcome in a bar which is part of French film history!

Stop by our unique bar lounge which was the set of a scene in the 1965 film Les Grandes Gueules (The Wise Guys) directed by Robert Enrico. The film tells the story of Hector Valentin (played by Bourvil) who returns to his home town in the Vosges to inherit the family sawmill.

Enjoy a drink in the company of Bourvil, Lino Ventura, Marie Dubois and Michel Constantin, all captured in magnificent black and white photos.
